Guide to Local Wood Products and Services

Working the Woods - a project aimed at stimulating the use of more locally-derived timber in the Tamar Valley and South Devon Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Dartmoor National Park - first contacted Graphic Words for assistance in developing an identity and logo.

Subsequently, the project published this Guide to Local Wood Products and Services, a 60-page directory of businesses working in the forestry sector and with wood in this area.

Graphic Words designed and layed out the booklet listing over 100 businesses, categorised by their products and services and referenced on a central map. We also helped develop the publication's index to services offered, and a system of icons to help rapidly identify required information.

The Directory has proved a useful and popular resource for businesses listed, and for potential customers.
