Interpretation Panel at
the former Bedford Foundry Site

Tavistock funeral directors Morris Brothers are based in buildings on the site of the town's former Bedford Foundry.

The company wanted to place an interpretation panel, detailing the development and history of the nineteenth century foundry which had operated at this location, and contacted Graphic Words.

Working with a local researcher, we developed this interpretation panel, which shows the foundry's importance to the local mining industry while it flourished - and also its relevance to Tavistock's place as part of the Cornwall and West Devon mining World Heritage Site. The panel also offers readers a brief history of Morris Brothers Ltd.

The 1.2 metre wide panel was printed in u/v resistant inks, mounted on a rigid foamex board, and matt laminated. It is on permanent display outside the building in a purpose-made display case.
