Lopwell Local Nature Reserve

Riverside interpretation panel at Lopwell Local Nature Reserve, mounted in natural granite plinthLopwell lies on the estuary of the river Tavy in Devon, near its confluence with the river Tamar. A Local Nature Reserve, (LNR), managed by the South West Lakes Trust, has been created around its freshwater and saltwater marsh areas and wooded valley slopes.

Graphic Words was commissioned to produce an interpretation panel introducing the reserve, showing its location and the habitats it contains, and introducing the location's rich history.

From research materials and reports supplied by our clients, Graphic Words wrote copy for the panels, and helped in sourcing photographic images. The panel was produced with a GRP encapsulation and mounted on a riverside granite plinth.

Interpretation panel at Lopwell Butterfly MeadowThe Trust commissioned a second interpretation panel, produced to the same specification, detailing some of the butterfly and moth species found at the site.

As part of an overall interpretation strategy for this site, we also produced a leaflet detailing a walk around the LNR.
